Zedd Shares A Piano Rendition Of Shawn Mendes’ ‘Lost In Japan’

It seems like just about everyone is a fan of Canadian superstar, Shawn Mendes. Added to that list smash-hit producer, DJ, and songwriter, Zedd, who recently took to Twitter to share an amazing cover of Mendes’ song, “Lost In Japan.”

The rework features a melodic, steady start and transitions into a funk-infused piano heavy chorus.

“Lost In Japan” was released in March as the second single off of Mendes’ third self-titled studio album. The song was originally recorded in Jamaica and let off a funky flare all on its own.

Though Zedd’s latest release is only 57-seconds long, stans of the producer and Mendes have been responding to the snippet enthusiastically, making it safe to say that they’re ready for more.

Mendes has yet to comment on Zedd’s latest cover, but the “Lost In Japan” singer did give the original post a retweet, solidifying his stamp of approval. Fingers crossed that we’ll get a collaboration soon. Afterall, back in May, Zedd did make us a promise.

Shawn Mendes was recently added as a performer at this year’s iHeartRadio MMVAs. Mendes joins previously announced performers Kris Wu, Meghan Trainor, Alessia Cara, Halsey, and Marshmello featuring Anne-Marie.

Watch the 2018 iHeartRadio MMVAs on Sunday, August 26 at 9ET/7MT on CTV and Much.
