Meghan Trainor Performs ‘Treat Myself’ Live For The First Time On Jimmy Kimmel
Meghan Trainor’s highly anticipated third studio album is only a couple weeks away from dropping and the singer-songwriter is busy building the hype around its release.
The 24-year-old was the musical guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live Monday night in Los Angeles, and gave the audience the first-ever live performance of the shimmering title track off her upcoming LP “Treat Yourself.” Watch the performance below.
The bass-driven, fun-loving song is filled with dancey keyboard notes and is even more energetic live as Trainor grooves to the tune with four denim clad backup dancers.
But “Treat Yourself” wasn’t the only track M-Train fans got. The Grammy award-winning pop artist performed a four-song, mini set that also included the #MeToo-inspired “No Excuses,” “All About That Bass,” and “Lose You.”
Treat Yourself is set to drop August 31 and will include Trainor’s previously released singles “Let You Be Right” and “Can’t Dance.” The new record is set to be Trainor’s most personal one yet, having previously revealed that it features vocals from her entire family on every song and even includes her father playing the piano and organ.
“It’s really special,” she said of the album. “It’s obviously me being in love and happy, and reminding myself to choose happiness and love myself.”
Most recently, Trainor teamed up with Jason Mraz for his latest single “More Than Friends,” a lovey-dovey acoustic track that’s true to Mraz’s signature airy style with Trainor’s vocals adding to the song’s breezy, summery sing-a-long vibe.
