Meghan Trainor Releases Acoustic Version Of ‘Let You Be Right’ And Covers Sasha Sloan’s ‘Normal’

Meghan Trainor just proved that she isn’t only the queen of bubbly dance-pop. The 24-year-old just released a set of Spotify Singles recorded in Nashville, which includes an acoustic version of her single “Let You Be Right” and a cover of “Normal” by singer-songwriter Sasha Sloan.

Released yesterday, the stripped-down version of “Let You Be Right” takes a different spin on the original vibrant, retro-pop inspired single. Trainor croons into the mic as the soft acoustic guitar strums over the dreamy melody. The original single is featured on Trainor’s highly anticipated studio album, Treat Myself. The slower version of the song is subsequent to the release of the singer’s music video for “Let You Be Right,” which includes dazzling kaleidoscope effects and a dreamy disco ball.

As for Trainor’s cover of “Normal” by Sasha Sloan, she perfectly channels Sloan’s underdog-chic vibe that’s present in the single. She delivers a relaxed version of the sad girl party anthem, all while still managing to incorporate her signature retro style.
