Meghan Trainor Shares Empowering New Song ‘Treat Myself’
Meghan Trainor has been building the hype around her new album for months now, and finally M-Train fans are getting a taste of what’s to come.
The 24-year-old has shared the titled track off the her upcoming third LP “Treat Yourself.” The new song is a bass-driven, fun-loving track that works as the perfect soundtrack to any summer night out. Listen to the new song below.
While “Treat Myself” is an shimmering, dancey track filled with melodic keyboard notes, its lyrics also contain a positive message about self-love with the infectious chorus repeating, “Let me give myself a hand / Tell myself ‘get up and dance’ / So I move my feet, I love all of me.”
The Grammy award-winning artist announced her new album via Instagram last month along with a snippet of a new track called “All The Ways.” Treat Myself is set to drop August 31 and will also include her previously released singles “Let You Be Right,” “Can’t Dance,” and the #MeToo-inspired “No Excuses.”
Trainor describes her upcoming album as “really special,” revealing that it features vocals from her entire family on every song and even includes her father playing the piano and organs.
“It’s obviously me being in love and happy, and reminding myself to choose happiness and love myself,” she explained.
