Kris Wu To Take The iHeartRadio MMVAs Stage

Just announced today, Chinese singer and actor Kris Wu (吴亦凡) will be making his iHeartRadio MMVAs debut to rock the stage.

As a former member of South Korean-Chinese boy band EXO—known internationally as one of the most popular Korean pop groups to date—Wu has transitioned from pop boyband icon to an artist highly influenced by today’s rap and R&B heavy hitters.

Last October, Wu released his first single as a solo artist titled “Deserve” which featured hip-hop artist Travis Scott. The track reached No. 1 on the U.S. iTunes Chart, making Wu the only Chinese artist to ever achieve this feat.

Other hit songs from the 27-year-old singer-songwriter include “B.M.,” “Miss You” featuring Zhao Liying, “Like That,” and “Juice,” which was included on the soundtrack for the film XXX: Return of Xander Cage that Wu also starred in.

It’s sure to be a party when Wu takes the stage.

In addition to Kris Wu, today’s performer announcement included Meghan Trainor, Kris Wu, and 5 Seconds Of Summer, who join previously announced performers Alessia Cara, Halsey, and Marshmello featuring Anne-Marie. Also announced today are presenters Derek Hough, Jenni “JWOWW” Farley, Sonequa Martin-Green, Tyra Banks, and Prince Michael Jackson.

The 2018 iHeartRadio MMVAs go down Sunday, August 26 at 9ET/7MT on CTV and Much.
