Halsey Lights Up The Stage With Performance Of ‘Sorry’ And ‘Bad At Love’
Halsey unleashed some serious star power on the iHeartRadio MMVAs stage with a back-to-back performance of her Hopeless Fountain Kingdom hits “Sorry” and “Bad at Love.”
Introduced by iHeartRadio MMVAs host Awkwafina and Star Trek: Discovery’s Sonequa Martin-Green, Halsey took the stage and launched into the heartfelt “Sorry” while artificial reality butterflies fluttered on the backdrop behind her.
For “Bad at Love,” Halsey tore off her long skirt to reveal a short glitter dress, allowing the pop singer to make her way around the stage and get closer to her fans. Halsey strutted and stunted during her debut performance, ensuring that the thousands of fans in attendance and the millions of viewers watching at home will be singing the jam for weeks to come.
The New Jersey native has been changing the sound of pop radio since her early days, when she quickly gained attention for her self-released music on social media. Halsey’s debut studio album Badlands dropped in 2015 and achieved commercial success, but it was her “Closer” collaboration with EDM-pop duo The Chainsmokers that really put the artist on the map, earning her a Grammy nomination.
In addition to her incredible debut performance, Halsey is also nominated for Best Pop Artist or Group, Fan Fave Artist, and Video of the Year—a stacked category that has the singer-songwriter’s “Bad at Love” music video facing off against Ariana Grande, Drake, Childish Gambino, Logic, and fellow iHeartRadio MMVAs performers Alessia Cara and Shawn Mendes.
The 2018 iHeartRadio MMVAs, hosted by Awkwafina, features performances from 98 Degrees, The Beaches, Bebe Rexha, Brett Kissel, bülow, Meghan Trainor, Shawn Mendes, Kris Wu (吴亦凡), 5 Seconds of Summer, Alessia Cara, Halsey, and Marshmello featuring Anne-Marie.
