Drake Wins Most Buzzworthy Canadian

He’s helped put Canadian hip hop on the map and he’s the self-proclaimed 6ix God, so it’s only fitting that Drake is now also the winner of Most Buzzworthy Canadian! The Views rapper was awarded the iHeartRadio Much Music Video Award during tonight’s award show, bringing Drake’s total number of MMVAs up to an incredible 15.

Drake took home his first MMVA back in 2010 for MuchVibe Hip-Hop Video of the Year for “Successful,” the same year he performed at the annual show for the first time. Since then, Drake has gone on to win three Grammy Awards and six JUNO Awards, releasing four studio albums, two mixtapes and one playlist in 2017 with More Life.

In addition to Most Buzzworthy Canadian Artist, Drake is also nominated this year for iHeartRadio Canadian Single of the Year and Fan Fave Artist or Group.

The 2017 iHeartRadio MMVAs are hosted by Alessia Cara and Joe Jonas and feature performances from Camila Cabello, Lorde, Imagine Dragons, Julia Michaels, Post Malone, Jazz Cartier, Niall Horan, DNCE, and Arkells.
