Camila Cabello Wins Best New International Artist
Camila Cabello is an artist to watch! The pop star just won the Best New International Artist award, beating out heavyweights Chance the Rapper, Lil Yachty and fellow performers Post Malone and Niall Horan.
The newly solo singer appeared on stage following her incredible show opening performance of “I Have Questions” and “Crying In The Club” to accept the award from Much VJ Liz Trinnear along with presenters Scott Helman and three-time iHeartRadio MMVA winner Carly Rae Jepsen. Cabello was still wearing a stunning white ruffled mini-dress when she accepted her award and gushed that winning the award made her feel like the “luckiest girl in the world.” She also thanked Canada for being so nice to her and dedicated the award to her dad, Alejandro, in honour of Father’s Day.
Tonight’s win marks Cabello’s third iHeartRadio Much Music Video Award, with the singer taking home Best Pop Video and Fan Fave Video with Shawn Mendes last year for their duet “I Know What You Did Last Summer.” Tonight also marks Cabello’s second performance at the iHeartRadio MMVAs, with the singer closing the show last year with her former band Fifth Harmony.
The 2017 iHeartRadio MMVAs are hosted by Alessia Cara and Joe Jonas and feature performances from Camila Cabello, Lorde, Imagine Dragons, Julia Michaels, Post Malone, Jazz Cartier, Niall Horan, DNCE, and Arkells.
