bülow Raised The Dead For Her Performance Of ‘Not A Love Song’
It may still be summer, but bülow had fans getting excited for Halloween with her spooky performance at the 2018 iHeartRadio MMVAs.
The German-born singer, who’s also called Canada home for years, had a memorable iHeartRadio MMVAs debut, enlisting the thousands of screaming fans lining the stage to help with her incredible performance of “Not a Love Song.”
Using glow-in-the-dark skull masks for the crowd and her dancers, bülow raised the dead for her epically eerie performance, creating a sea of skulls to deliver a visually stunning performance. Backed by a marching band consisting of—what else—zombies, bülow rocked the iHeartRadio MMVAs with a rendition of “Not a Love Song” that could wake the dead.
Ending the performance with a storm of confetti, bülow made her mark on the iHeartRadio MMVAs with a high energy and memorable first appearance.
bülow’s performance was introduced by Prince Michael Jackson, a fitting pairing considering that Jackson’s late father Michael Jackson, aka the King of Pop, perfected the spectacularly spooky pop performance with his groundbreaking “Thriller” video.
In addition to performing for the first time, bülow earned her first iHeartRadio MMVAs nomination this year for Best New Canadian Artist or Group, a category that also includes The Beaches, Ralph, NEW CITY, Johnny Orlando and Elijah Woods x Jamie Fine.
The 2018 iHeartRadio MMVAs, hosted by Awkwafina, features performances from Shawn Mendes, Alessia Cara, Meghan Trainor, Kris Wu (吴亦凡), Marshmello featuring Anne-Marie, Brett Kissel, bülow, The Beaches, Bebe Rexha, 98 Degrees, 5 Seconds of Summer and Halsey.
