Bebe Rexha And Florida Georgia Line Take Home Best Collaboration For ‘Meant To Be’
The results are in, and Bebe Rexha and Florida Georgia Line have been dubbed the iHeartRadio MMVAs Best Collaboration winners for their song “Meant to Be.”
“Meant to Be” was released last year as the second single off of Rexha’s EP, All Your Fault: Pt. 2. The song entered the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 61 and later peaked at No. 2, becoming Rexha’s third Top 10 hit and Florida Georgia Line’s second. In July of this year, “Meant to Be” continued to reach new heights when it became the longest running No. 1 country song on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart, taking the title from Sam Hunt’s “Body Like a Back Road”.
With the award presented by former supermodel and current business mogul, Tyra Banks, the duo beat out the likes of The Weeknd and Kendrick Lamar, Shawn Mendes and Khalid, Kendrick Lamar and SZA, Zedd, Maren Morris and Grey, and Marshmello and Anne-Marie. Adorned in a glittery strapless dress, a flustered, smiley Rexha accepted the award from Banks and promised to display it in her new home.
The 2018 iHeartRadio MMVAs, hosted by Awkwafina, features performances from Shawn Mendes, Alessia Cara, Meghan Trainor, Kris Wu (吴亦凡), Marshmello featuring Anne-Marie, Brett Kissel, bülow, The Beaches, Bebe Rexha, 98 Degrees, 5 Seconds of Summer and Halsey.
