Actor And Rapper Awkwafina Is Your 2018 iHeartRadio MMVAs Host

She’s an actor, a rapper, TV personality, and on Sunday, August 26, Awkwafina will be adding ‘iHeartRadio MMVAs Host’ to her long list of accomplishments.

Awkwafina—born Nora Lum—began rapping when she was just 13 years old. In 2012, she gained popularity for her song “My Vag” as the music video garnered over two million views on YouTube in a response to Mickey Avalon’s “My Dick.” Most recently, Awkwafina released her latest EP In Fina We Trust, which follows 2014’s debut LP Yellow Ranger.

Along with her rap career, Awkwafina has made a name for herself as an actor having starred in Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, indie comedy Dude, as well as the animated comedy Storks.

This summer you can catch Awkwafina on the big screen in Crazy Rich Asians as Peik Lin. You can also see her in the role of Constance, a loud-mouthed street hustler and pickpocket in Steven Soderbergh’s Ocean’s trilogy spin-off Ocean’s 8. These two films are Awkwafina’s biggest acting spotlights to date.

Awkwafina is the latest star added to the iHeartRadio MMVAs roster. She joins presenters Derek Hough, Jenni “JWoww” Farley, Sonequa Martin-Green, Prince Michael Jackson and Tyra Banks and performers Shawn Mendes, Meghan Trainor, Kris Wu, 5 Seconds Of Summer, Alessia Cara, Halsey, and Marshmello featuring Anne-Marie.

The 2018 iHeartRadio MMVAs go down Sunday, August 26 at 9ET/7MT on CTV and Much.
